RMPBS and KBDI have both been airing a series called "Catholicism", produced and hosted by evangelical Father Robert Barron (Word on Fire Ministries), who has admitted publicly that the series is aimed at converting viewers. RMPBS, KBDI and about a 100 other public television stations around the country are violating a 2009 PBS ban against sectarian programming by airing all or part of this 10-part series. (Note: this is not a PBS production although much publicity claims that it is.) Certainly there have been other sectarian programs on public television, but never one so blatantly proselytizing.
